Data Update – Comprehensive – February 2022 Revision 1

Size of 382Mb, for servers running Bp 1.8.3.595 or higher that have not installed the January 2022 Data Update. The Comprehensive update requires the February 2021 Data Update to be installed as a minimum prerequisite.

If your server has a Data Update older than February 2021 Data Update installed, please download, and install:

  1. Utility: 2021 Full Drug Replacement. (November 2021/11/05)
  2. February 2022 Comprehensive Data Update Revision 1
  3. February 2023 Comprehensive Data Update
  4. The latest ‘current months’ Comprehensive Data Update


The Full Drug Replacement utility must be run outside of business hours.

ePrescribing Utility

This utility switches on the fast-tracked ePrescribing functionality in Bp Premier Jade Sp3 and Jade SP4 only.

Critical Information:

Practices and practitioners must inform patients which pharmacies in their area are eScript ready. If the patient’s pharmacy of choice is not eScript ready, they would then require a paper prescription instead. UPDATE: Please note as of January 2020, all Practices can begin using ePrescribing. ePrescribing has been turned on by default with our latest release, Saffron.

Before you perform the Program Update:

  • Please ensure you have read the Bp Premier Upgrade Guide prior to proceeding with the upgrade. It is important to note that upgrades should be completed outside of business hours (with no users connected).
  •  For Clinics using Best Practice version 1.8.4.642 (Summit) please refer to the Upgrade Checklist included in the Bp Premier Summit to Saffron Upgrade Guide for important information regarding the significant changes included in our Saffron release.
  •  Ensure you are using Best Practice version 1.9.1.863 or higher and the Latest Data Update has been applied
  •  NET Framework 4 (installs automatically if not present, however will require a reboot of the PC)

 

NOTE: If .NET 4.6.2 is not already installed on your Server a reboot is required, therefore the update cannot be performed while Bp Premier is in use.

  • Before you run a program upgrade on the Bp Premier server, ensure that any workstations in remote download mode have been synchronised with the server database. If you do not synchronise laptops in remote mode before you upgrade, you will have to re-enter all information recorded while in remote mode. For instructions on how to synchronise, review the section Synchronise new data with the server. In this case, all users will need to log out of Bp Premier until the upgrade is complete on the server.

IMPORTANT: This update will need to update the database tables used by the program. Best Practice Software recommends updating the server outside of business hours. After applying to the server, the upgrade can then be applied to each workstation, this workstation update should only take a few minutes. Due to new features released in the Indigo update it is a requirement that any sites using Management update all clients immediately as Management functions will be disabled in previous versions that connect to a Saffron server install.

After upgrading, the Setup Third-Party Integrations screen will prompt you to enable the specific partner role for any third-party database integrations that your practice uses.  You must enable integrations from this screen; all legacy integrations will be disabled after upgrading to Saffron.

TX Control Register

The TX Control is required and used by Bp for areas such as Prescriptions, Todays Notes, and Word Processor. This utility allows the re-installation and file registration to solve some support related issues.

IMPORTANT If Bp Premier is installed in a Terminal Server or Citrix environment, perform outside of normal practice hours, on the Terminal or Citrix Server, and ensure that there are no active sessions or user profiles connected.

 

Bp LogMeIn for Windows

Establish incoming and outgoing remote desktop and computer-to-computer connections for real-time support or access to files, networks and programs. After downloading and installing this software, you’ll have your first session up and running within seconds.

Process for using LogMeIn with Bp Support:

  • Select the link below
  • Bp Support will provide the required code verbally over the support call
  • Enter the code and Start Download
  • Small application downloads to your computer to start the support session
  • After you’ve opened the application, you will be presented with an agreement.
  • Scroll through the agreement and click ‘I Agree’ at the bottom
  • During the session, the Technician could be able to fully control your computer.
