Program Updates
- Back up your Bp Premier database before running the upgrade.
- Synchronise all workstations in remote database mode with the Bp Premier server before you upgrade.
- Download and run the latest Drug Update on your Bp Premier server computer.
- Log all users out of the server and all clients before you upgrade.
- Download and run the 1.12.3.1042 update on your server and all clients.
- Log back in to Bp Premier and resume use.
- Back up your Bp Premier database before running the upgrade.
- Synchronise all workstations in remote database mode with the Bp Premier server before you upgrade.
- Download and run the latest Drug Update on your Bp Premier server computer.
- Log all users out of the server and all clients before you upgrade.
- Download and run the 1.12.1.1023 update on your server and all clients.
- Log back in to Bp Premier and resume use.

You must have the February 2024 data update or later installed before you upgrade to 1.12.3.1042.

Orchid Service Pack 1 Revision 1 includes security enhancements to mitigate the risk of unauthorised access to the Bp Premier database without limiting functionality for your practice to access your own data.
Before upgrading to Orchid SP1 Revision 1, review all third-party database access used in your practice to see whether you may be impacted. This includes your practice’s use of the BP Browser password, third-party software for online appointment booking, data analysis and reporting tools, medical devices that connect to the Bp Premier database, or any software or hardware that connects to the database and reads or writes information into Bp Premier. You must have the December 2023 data update or later installed before you upgrade to 1.12.1.1023.

Best Practice Software recommends users update their version of Bp Premier with the latest data, featuring the most up to date PBS, MIMS drug database, medication, template and fee data.
To determine the last update that has been installed: Open Bp Premier > Click the Help menu > Select About > Check Last Drug Update

Size of 84.4 MB, for servers running Bp 1.9.0.848 or higher that have already installed the January 2025 Data Update. If the January 2025 Data Update has not been installed, you will need to download and apply the “Data Update – Comprehensive – February 2025” update.
