Empowering healthcare through connection and commitment
We’re a private company driven by a passion for improving healthcare through technology. From our beginnings in Bundaberg, Queensland, to a network of offices across Australia and New Zealand, we remain focused on our founding principle: creating software solutions that genuinely serve healthcare professionals. With every product and service, our goal is to help you deliver better care, streamline your practice, and connect with your community.

Constantly Evolving with Purpose and Care
Our journey started with a simple mission: to create better technology for doctors, by doctors. Grounded in authenticity, innovation, and user engagement, our values continue to guide every decision we make, from product development to customer support. We’ve grown, evolved, and expanded, but our commitment to supporting the healthcare community remains at the heart of everything we do.

Building Stronger Communities Together
We believe healthcare doesn’t stop at the clinic door. Through our Community Partnership Program and broader outreach initiatives, we proudly support healthcare accessibility, community wellbeing, and social inclusion across Australia and New Zealand. Together with our partners, we strive to make a real, lasting impact where it matters most.

Our footprint Across Australasia
With offices in Bundaberg, Brisbane and Hamilton (NZ), and a national headquarters built specifically for healthcare IT innovation, our footprint is wide – and growing. From regional towns to major cities, our talented team collaborates across offices to develop, market and support quality software for General Practice, Specialist and Allied Health clinics throughout Australasia.

Our Clinical Senate
To fulfil our vision of communities connected with care, one of our foundational pillars is software written by doctors for doctors. We engage in close partnership with clinicians to help guide and direct the design, development, and support of our software products.
The Best Practice Software Clinical Senate comprises clinicians, practice managers, allied health, nursing, pharmacy, and community health professionals who meet regularly to provide Best Practice’s business and product decision makers with ideas and feedback to help guide our product’s direction.

Our Clinical Senate works as an independent expert clinical user group to advise us on:
- Our user experience, including ideas to develop and enhance our products for healthcare professionals.
- Current desktop user trends in medicine, including appropriate specialties, allied health, clinical support, and community health support services.
- Future clinical software requirements, including informed opinion on the clinical appropriateness of suggested enhanced functionality as presented for review and recommendation.
- Emerging learning and development issues/trends for Australasian healthcare professionals.
- Stakeholder relation approaches for healthcare professionals.
- Inputs to our strategic planning and product positioning processes.
- Current and forecast needs and expectations of clinical software users.
- Communication of our clinical leadership throughout health professional networks.
- Strategic consideration, direction, or guidance on any key customer matters.
